Hugo Azinheira

Executive Director, Global Research and Innovation
Hugo is responsible for R&D, including product innovation and development, product management and commercialisation, Intellectual Property and ESG. In his prior roles, Hugo managed the R&D and innovation functions at two major tobacco companies. Hugo holds a degree in Material Engineering from Technical University of Lisboa in Portugal, and a post-graduate degree in Innovation Management from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium.

Joyce Ng

Executive Director, Global Human Resources
Joyce leads the HR function and provides strategic human capital direction by collaborating with our Executive Leadership Team to transform Filtrona through organisational development, learning and development, talent management, and succession planning. Prior to Filtrona, Joyce has held senior management roles in HR with multinational companies in the data and analytics, and chemicals industries. Joyce holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Planning and International Business from Maastricht School of Management.

Lutfu Okman

Executive Director, Global Commercial

Lutfu is accountable for the profitable growth of Filtrona’s filters business globally. Prior to joining Filtrona in 2024, Lutfu held senior business management roles in Business Development, Sales & Marketing, and Innovation with multinational companies in the textiles, chemical, and manufacturing industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kent in the UK.

Patrick Meredith

Executive Director, Global Strategy and Business Development

Patrick is responsible for developing, implementing and evolving our strategic growth plans. He also oversees our Legal, Compliance, Risk and Governance (LCRG) function. Patrick is a Chartered Engineer, holds a Master of Business Administration from the Open University and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Bath.

Lay Moi Kow

Executive Director, Global Operations
Lay Moi (LM) oversees the company’s operational P&L performance globally, including HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and procurement. In her prior roles, she held senior management positions in operations at a global packaging company and other FMCG companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Technology in Malaysia.

Tom Sand-Kristensen

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Sand-Kristensen brings strong international leadership experience to Filtrona, having held senior roles across diverse industries including packaging and recycling, construction, healthcare, and food and beverage. He previously held senior executive positions at Faerch Group, ROCKWOOL, and Carlsberg, where he managed complex multi-country operations and delivered sustainable financial performance.

As CEO, Robert leads the continued growth of Filtrona’s filters business and operations globally, including more than 2,000 employees, 9 production facilities, two world-class Innovation Centres and a fully accredited laboratory, serving customers in more than 120 countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. He serves as a member of Filtrona’s Board of Directors.
